RT @TanDhesi: The Government has betrayed our #Afghan friends, with the lives of those who bravely helped our troops, minorities, and human rights activists, at risk. Instead of abandoning them, Govt must do everything it can to help my endangered constituents and avert a humanitarian crisis. https://t.co/MTIX47MpaI

RT @TanDhesi: Yet more of Tories saying one thing and doing another! Deep cuts to vital police services in #Slough (where the need is greater), while increasing funding elsewhere, is completely unfair. We need proper investment in policing to make it safer for all. sloughobserver.co.uk/news/19579850.…

RT @TanDhesi: Covid lockdowns highlighted the stark #DigitalDivide in our country. Despite government promises, 1.9 million households still have no internet access and many more, including in #Slough, rely on expensive pay-as-you-go services. This week, Spain passed a law to put a windfall tax on the energy generators which are making increased profits whilst the supply companies go bust. Will the Chancellor and Business Secretary consider this? montelnews.com/news/1253955/s…

If even more energy companies go bust, their customers will be moved to the remaining suppliers, many of whom can’t afford to take them on. Ministers could nationalises the bust companies, but this just moves the cash flow problem from shareholders to taxpayers.

RT @AnnaMcMorrin: 6️⃣ Years 5️⃣ Secretaries of State …and still no Victims’ Bill. 🌹@UKLabour has one ready to go. UK Government must stop failing victims and work with us to ensure they are no longer treated as an afterthought. @VictimsComm https://t.co/a6gRb2Cm96

RT @AnnaMcMorrin: Why we need a Victims’ Bill: ⛔️ 6 in 10 victims do not receive their rights ⛔️ ⅓ of victims would not report a future crime because of poor past experience ⛔️ record court backlog and delay to justice ⛔️ ¾ of victim communications deemed below standards by inspectors
